Welcome to St. Joseph's School, Una
St. Joseph's School-Una is a co-educational English Medium School that follows the GSEB (Gujarat Secondary Education Board, Gandhinagar) syllabus.
The school is managed by St Joseph's Education Trust, Una. We have three sections of the school on the campus:
- St Joseph's Primary School
- St Joseph's High School
- St Joseph's HIgher Secondary School
Our goal is to circulate the best standards of learning among children, with excellence in academics and co-curricular activities.
We believe that each student is unique. The method of teaching is child-oriented and the learning atmosphere is warm and friendly. Imparting values through various practices help to prepare the children into responsible citizens of tomorrow.
Admission for the senior KG starts in the last week of March for the next academic year. We may have a few vacaent seats for other classes. Visit our Admission page for more details.

What are the streams offered in class 11 & 12?
The school offers commerce stream. We do not have science stream at present.

What are the school timings for students?
The school starts at 7:50 a.m. and ends at 1:10 p.m. on Monday to Friday. There are 8 periods of class on these days.
On Saturday, it starts at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 10:45 a.m. There four periods of class on Saturday.
Students of classes 8 to 12 come back in the evening. They have 2 periods of class in the evening from 4:00 p.m. to 5:10 p.m. They also have 1 hour of games from 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.

When does the admission process start?
We start admission process by the end of March of each year for the next academic year.
We have admission mostly for the senior K.G. class and a few seats for other classes.

What is the minimum age for admission in KG?
The school does not have Junior K.G. class. A child must have completed 5 years before taking admission in senior K.G.

What is the average class size?
Maximum 36 students are accomodated in Senior KG class.
Maximum 42 students are accomodated in a class in classes 1 to 5.
Maximum 50 students are accomodated in a class in classes 6 to 12.

From which class hostel facility is available for the students?
Hostel facility is available for all the classes. We have students in hostel from class senior K.G. to class 12.

Which text-books are followed by the school?
We follow NCERT text books for Mathematics, Science and English for classes 1 to 12.
For other subjects we follow the text-books prescribed by the GSEB, Gandhinagar. -
Is transportation provided by the school?
No, We do not provide transportation to the students. Many students come in autorikshaw which are arranged by their parents. Some parents come to drop and collect their children on their personal vehicles.
Some older students come by bicycle. We encourage them come on bicycle. No students are allowed to bring any kind of motorised vehicle to the school.
